After my family had gone, me and Hayley decorated our appartment for Halloween! We put up fairy lights, tinsle and pumpkins! We thought we'd get Johnny into the Halloween spirit, we dressed him up in a witches hat and a flower necklace! lol! Thank you very much for the present Aunty Val, we all love him! Posted by Picasa

That night we all went to the House of Blues to celebrate Dom's 21st birthday! Can you tell we took this photo ourselves? hehe!

Was a really good night! Almost all of our arrival group turned up so it was great for us to be together again!. I love the House of Blues because most of the world showcase go there on a sunday night! Me and Hayley saw one of our roomies Fumiko. I saw my friends Liz from Mexico, Noella from France and some of my Italian and Canadian friends too!. Its so funny cos on the dancefloor everyone has 'dance-offs' where they all get in a circle and break dance one at a time, just like in the movie 'Honey'! Me and Ross were trying to persuade Dom to go into the middle and do a forward roll! lol! Posted by Picasa

Saturday 21st October. My family came up to Orlando again for the weekend. We went out for dinner at the Red Lobster. I've always wanted to go here and have a whole lobster.... so I did! Felt very guilty when I saw all the live lobsters sitting in the tank, tried not to make eye contact with them! Posted by Picasa

Tuesday 17th October.
Today at 12:53pm (UK time) one of my best friends Natalie had her baby!. Amber Grace Leighton weighed 6lbs 1oz. Oh my God she is sooooo cute!! Im so sad that I cant see her for myself :( but my mum is going to visit little Amber soon and will send me some photos. I can't believe that when I will get to see her for the first time, she will be almost a year old! Congratulations Nat and Marc!! Miss you! xxx Posted by Picasa

Sunday 15th October
This morning we went out for breakfast, had some yummy pancakes! Then we headed off to Disney MGM. We went on my mums favourite attraction 'the Great Movie Ride' which my Nan also loved! It takes you on a journey of movies throughout the years. Mum, Aunty Val and Uncle John went on the Star Wars ride while me and Nan sat down and had some frozen lemonade. Thats when about 20 Disney Characters came out of the side door right next to us! We saw Belle, Snow White, Alice, Minnie, and so many more! I managed to get a photo of Goofy, Aladdin and Jasmine! My family went back down to Fort Lauderdale afterwards but they'll be back again next weekend! yay! Posted by Picasa

Saturday 14th October
Today me, Mum, Nan, Aunty Val, Uncle John and their friends Michael and Debbie spent the day in Epcot. First we went to innovations to try all the drinks from around the world. Then we headed up to the world showcase. I showed them around the UK Pavillion and introduced them to all my friends - but we couldnt find Mike :( They got to meet my roomies aswell. Uncle John and Michael had a half yard of beer in the UK and us ladies had pink champagne and cakes from France. mmmm! Posted by Picasa

Late afternoon the others headed home, so me and mum went on 'Soarin' and then took the monarail over to the Magic Kingdom. We went on the new Pirates of the Carribbean ride - which now features Jack Sparrow! and Big Thunder Mountain. Posted by Picasa

Friday 13th October. Yay! My family are here! and it was my Aunty Vals birthday today too! My Mum, Nan, Aunty Val and Uncle John picked me up from the commons after trying to find me for an hour and a half and then realising they were staying 5 minutes up the road from me! haha! My fault really as when asked to give directions I couldnt quite remember how to get to where i live! We went out for dinner and then I spent the night with them at this lovely apartment which they were staying in for the weekend. Posted by Picasa

Thursday 12th October. Halloween is approaching! It is one of my favourite times of the year and I love that I am in America to celebrate it this year! It is such a huge event over here, they dont just celebrate it for one night, they celebrate it during the whole of October! Im going to buy a few costumes and go every single Halloween event I can over the next few weeks! Tonight I went to Universal Studios for their Halloween Horror Night with my Scottish friends Kerri, Diane and Ross! Posted by Picasa

I was absolutely terrified! Me and Kerri spent the whole night holding hands, cos we were so scared, and grabbing hold of the other 2 who were very brave! lol!. We even bought some vodka jelly (in a syringe) to calm our nerves! I had 2 but they didn't help! Within the first 5 minutes in the park me and Kerri were chased up the street by a guy with a chainsaw (yes a real chainsaw!) Posted by Picasa

There were haunted houses around the park. They had different themes like 'the people under the stairs' or 'all night die in' (sound lovely dont they!) You walk through them (in the dark!) and zombies and vampires jump out at you from behind doors and curtains! The worst one was a hospital which had clowns and ghost children in PJ's jumping out and chasing you! There was even a clown coming up from under the floorboards trying to grab your feet! At one point the lights went out and you couldnt see anything but could hear everyone screaming!
And they had a street which was dark and filled with fog so you couldnt see anything ahead of you. There were zombies who would just appear in front of you from nowhere! Im amazed that I lasted the night! Posted by Picasa

Monday 9th October. Kims birthday. Last night we celebrated at the House of Blues; but today me, Kim and Laura had the day off so we headed to Epcot. First we stopped off at 'character connections' to have our photos taken with some of the Disney characters. Posted by Picasa

I had my photo taken with the boss (Mickey Mouse) and one of my favourite characters - Goofy. Then we went around the food and wine festival trying some different things. I had satay chicken in China and some BBQ shrimps from Australia. Then we went to France (which is my favourite pavillion) for a goat cheese tart and some pink champagne which was gorgeous! An 80's group called 'Loverboy' were playing in the American Pavillion so we stopped off to watch them aswell. Didnt actually know any of the songs but it was classic 80's cheese which i love!! Posted by Picasa

Monday 2nd October
Day off whoohoo! Me, Diane, Colin, James, Adam and Luke went to the Magic Kingdom. I think we were jinxed, every single ride we went on either broke down or had a problem; Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean.....! The photo of me and Adam is of when Big Thunder Mountain broke down! lol! Posted by Picasa

Then we headed over to Epcot (again!) We went to the UK Pavillion to watch The British Invasion (Beatles tribute band) The others went home but me and Colin stayed to eat around the world. They have a food and wine festival in Epcot for the next couple of months. They have samples of food and drink from 26 different countries. I had some vine leaves from Turkey (which i really didnt like!) and crepes from France (which were yummy!) Posted by Picasa That night we went to UK lasses and Pleasure Island again. After we were invited to a French party and then we found a Norweign party (OMG the Norweigns are mad!) Was a fun night, met some new people and got home at 5am. Am doing well in my mission which is a go to a party with every nationality by the end of the year! Just 7 more to go!

Wednesday 27th September
I thought I would post some pictures of the UK Pavillion for those who haven't seen it. The photos on the left are some of the shops which I work in. On the right is the 'Rose and Crown' pub and the fish n chip shop! Today we had Mr Twinnings from London in. He is the 10th generation of the Twinnings tea family, and we had a tea tasting session so we can recommend good British tea to the guests!. The 'Christmas tea' was interesting! Posted by Picasa

Sunday 24th September
Today I finished at 4pm so I met up with my friends Colin, Liz from Mexico and Jacob from Italy for an evening in Epcot. We all got a mask, which you take around the world showcase and get it stamped and signed in each country in their own language. Clockwise here we are in the UK pavillion with our British Disney characters Winnie the Pooh and Eyeore! With my roomie Fumiko in the Japanese Pavillion. Us being Vikings in Norway! And the Epcot ball. Posted by Picasa

Me, Colin and Liz then went to the House of Blues for dinner, then into the club to meet our friend Alex from Italy. You aren't allowed to take photos in the club, so for some reason we thought it was a great idea to hide in a dark corner of the smoking room to take pictures of ourselves! hehe! Afterwards Liz took us to a Mexican party which was being held in Colins appartment! We walked in to see about 50 Mexicans dancing in Colins lounge! His face was so funny! (Sorry Colin but i wished i'd taken a photo! hehe!)

Friday 22nd September 2006
A few of us had a day off today so we went to MGM. We stopped off in the gift store and all bought silly hats to wear for the day! Mike and Meg were the bride and groom; me, Jenna and Kim were pirates and Lucy was Minnie Mouse. Posted by Picasa

So today I went on the ride which i was dreading the most! The Tower of Terror! I promised my mum I would go on it because her, my dad and Stewart all braved it a few years ago! You go up to the top of the building and drop 13 stories in a lift. It was the first time me, Mike and Meg had been on it and we were all terrified! But we did it! Mike even did it with a hangover! haha! When we saw the photo you couldn't even see me, I had my head in my lap the whole time, it looked like the seat between Meg and Lucy was empty! hehe! Posted by Picasa

Aswell as braving the Tower of Terror I went on 'Aerosmiths rocking roller coaster'! Oh my god, it is so fast! 0-60mph in about 5 seconds!Poor Lucy sat next to me (again) while I screamed (again!) Heres photo of us 2 after the ride. We also watched the Beauty and the Beast show which was so good! The other photos are us pirates kidnapping Lucy, and Mike and Jenna being 'Rock Gods'! Posted by Picasa

We left MGM and headed over to Epcot. First we went on the new ride 'Soren' which is brilliant!! Then we walked around the world showcase. I love the world showcase!! I will never get bored of going around to the different countries; looking at the shops, eating their food and learning about their cultures. We visited our friends in the UK and saw Ana and Laura dressed up as the fun police. Next we went to France to look at the cute French guys!(Seriously they are all gorgeous!) We had some crepes aswell. mmmmm!! Then we walked around to Mexico to meet up with Jo, Jilly, James and Adam. We got some frozen margaritas and watched the fireworks 'Illuminations'. Posted by Picasa

Afterwards we were all quite hungry so James and Adam took us to 'Beaches and Cream' It is an American diner which has amazing ice cream! They have one called the kitchen sink which is 8 huge scoops of ice cream, oreo cookies, brownies, cherries, whipped cream, marshmallows and chocolate sauce!! Obviously we ordered it, it would be rude not to! When our table ordered the kitchen sink the lights dimmed and a bell rang and the waitress made an announcement that us girls were going to attempt the famous 'Kitchen sink' Everyone in the diner clapped! Was so funny! We tried our best but we couldnt finish it! I want to take my brother there when he comes over next year, Im sure he would give it a good attempt! haha!! (Stewart I bet you could do it!) Posted by Picasa
