Today was a very emotional day, it was David and Donna's last day at work. Our manager Clyde sang a little goodbye song in our morning meeting. I couldnt make eye contact with either of them otherwise I would have cried! After work me, Di and Jenna met up with our friends to 'drink around world'. We all got together in Mexico with margarita's to watch the band sing a goodbye song to our Mexican friends Nora, Ana and Ingrid. They played violins and some children handed them flowers. It was so sad - I started crying in the middle of the Mexican pavillion! This was exact moment our French friend Stefan (bottom left) decided to take a photo of all of us!Afterwards Silje met up with us -she is our Norweigian friend who also leaves next week. By this point I'd stopped crying and we headed towards the UK pavillion where most of them went into the pub for shots and half yards of beer. We made it round the worldshowcase back to Mexico in time to watch the fireworks. All the girls who were leaving were in tears watching them for the last time!
When we got back to the commonswe had to go to David and Donnas throw out - so I had to say a final goodbye to them aswell. Woah - what an emotional day! Because we are thousands of miles away from home, away from family and friends - you become very close to people here, and it is so hard when you have to say goodbye. Especially when some of them live half way around the world and you don't know if you will ever see them again. :(
